What is the solvent used for on a UV line?
It adjusts the viscosity and flow of the coating for spray application, and influences the final finish of the part.
Can I use any solvent with the UV coating?
It is not recommended. Each UV coating and each lacquer is recommended with a solvent formulation developed by Corquímica, to deliver the expected result.
What is a cleaning degreaser?
It is a product that removes oil, mold release agent and dirt from parts before painting, and also cleans spray guns and equipment.
Do I need to degrease the part before painting?
In most cases, yes. Mold release and grease residues cause peeling and defects. Testing on the part defines the process.
Is the solvent suitable for sensitive plastics such as PS?
It depends on the formulation. PS is sensitive to certain types of solvents, and Corquímica recommends the compatible option.
